6 April 2024 - On 1 April 2024, workers in the UK witnessed a pay raise due to the increase in the National Minimum Wage and National  Living Wage, making the new hourly rate £11.44 instead of £10.42 for workers aged 21 and over. Younger workers aged from 16 to 20 also witnessed a pay raise, making the National Minimum Wage hourly rate for workers aged under 18 £6.40, and £8.60 for workers over 18.
